A Silver Lining

'Tis an eve just like any,
As I sit on my rump,
Feeling grumpy and hungry,
From my blood-sugar slump.

As I sneak to the pantry,
My olfactory senses detect,
A smell so foul,
It's making me retch.

After careful inspection,
One can only surmise,
That inside the wall,
A mouse keeled over and died.

Hunger aborted,
I flee feeling sick,
And grumble thanks to the universe,
For its new dieting trick.

  1. OMG! You just made my whole day!!!!

Also, if you could get a mouse to die in my house that might help my diet. Please and thank you.

    1. You can go right ahead and have mine! Mouse-reek is a little too hard core for me!
